Luis graduated as a Bachelor of Computer Science at Universidad de Costa Rica and as Master of Software Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Libera Università di Bolzano with an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. He also graduated from the Global Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at Kookmin University in South Korea.

He has worked for video game development companies, startups, universities, government institutions and corporations, both as an employee and as an independent contractor, developing video games for companies such as Amaya Gaming, mobile apps and development standards for Universidad de Costa Rica and the Housing Ministry of Costa Rica and teaching programs for Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and IBM.

At Webjunto Luis worked as a software engineer on the development process of mobile and web apps covering everything form development of new features, testing and bug fixing. A part from developing software loves traveling, long distance running, eating and cooking vegan food.
